The Center for Seed Development and Plant Protection Technical Executing Unit (UPT P2BPT) for Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Agency, signed a cooperation agreement with the Faculty of Biology, Gadjah Mada University (UGM) Yogyakarta, on Monday (3/29).
Jakarta UPT P2BPT Head Ali Nurdin disclosed it was done virtually via zoom meeting. The cooperation included education, research, training, development of seed technology and plant protection, as well as services to the community.

According to its main function, he explained, his party was focusing on the production and development of certified seeds, as well as providing services to the community for free in the case of fruit seeds, vegetable, and family medicinal plants (TOGA).
"This is a form of commitment from UPT P2BPT in order to produce superior and quality seed products as a result of innovation from researchers," he expressed.
It was hoped that it could provide benefits for both parties and the community.
On the same day, his party also signed the PKS Faculty of Biology, Al Azhar Indonesia University (UAI) Jakarta.
"This cooperation focuses more on research, internships and street vendors from UAI students in the orchid and banana tissue culture laboratory, hydroponics and other plant nursery techniques," he stated.
